RATES

Square Inch Price

I charge 3 cents per square inch for all designs.

Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .03 = $144.

My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Woman Cutting Fabric

Batting

I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend and 100% cotton. I have limited quantities of wool batting in stock, please ask for availability.

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.

I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders.  I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 8" margin) and charge per inch.

For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 68" of the batting of your choice.
Current prices are .39/in of the 80/20 and .41/in of the 100 cotton

68" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.39/in = $26.52

Thread

I stock Glide (#40 weight)

Current in stock colors are Light Gray, Cream, Linen, Warm Gray, Black, Cool Gray and White

I charge a flat fee of $5 for each quilt that covers the cost of thread, bobbins and general machine maintenance.

My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.  We can work out a color choice and price if you want something I do not have in stock.

Shipping

Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Houston, TX, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.

Other Costs

As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. Also, I'm required by the State of Texas to collect 8.25% sales tax on each sale.

If there is a pantograph or thread color that I do not own, I will split the cost with you.

Payment

After the work is complete, I will invoice you via PayPal. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away.
